Doha – Qena:
The sacrifice project, implemented by the “Relatives Center” of Qatar Charity, was able to reach 17,500 members of needy families inside Qatar during the last days of Eid al-Adha, adopting a smart and smooth distribution mechanism that took into account the privacy of the beneficiaries.
Qatar Charity said in a statement yesterday that the Al-Aqrabun Center had implemented activities during the blessed Eid Al-Adha period for the benefit of orphaned children and children from low-income families with the aim of bringing them the joy of Eid.
She explained that the project witnessed the distribution of 1,750 sacrifices, benefiting about 17,500 people from members of needy families, those with limited income, widows and divorcees, orphans and their families, families of prisoners, and others, in order to consolidate the values of solidarity and compassion within society, while ensuring that the sacrifices reach their beneficiaries efficiently and transparently, and maximizing the impact of the donations of benefactors. She pointed out that the “Al-Aqraboun” Center had succeeded in delivering sacrificial meat to the project’s targets in an easy way, relying on a smart distribution mechanism through electronic coupons via the “Al-Aqraboun” application, where distribution was made through more than 25 distribution points in Al Meera branches spread across various regions of the country, ensuring easy access to the beneficiaries and speedy delivery of the sacrificial animals during the days of Eid.
In this context, Mr. Faisal Rashid Al Fahida, Head of the Relatives Center of Qatar Charity, stressed the Center’s keenness to ensure that the distribution process this year takes place easily and smoothly, taking into account the privacy of the beneficiaries and their time through the smart solutions that have been adopted, which reflects our commitment to providing a service that preserves human dignity and enhances the impact of giving.
Al Fahida stressed that the project “embodies Qatar Charity’s mission to serve the local community, and reflects the values of compassion and solidarity that the Foundation is keen to promote,” noting that donor support and community trust represent the basic foundation for the success and continuation of these projects.
In a related context; During the Eid al-Adha season, the Al-Aqrabun Center implemented projects directed at children as part of the “Greatest Days” campaign programs, which included the distribution of Eid al-Adha and the “Eid Joy” program, targeting its sponsors, orphans and children from low-income families. 1,656 children benefited from them, with the aim of bringing joy to them and relieving the burdens on their families.
The “Eid Joy” program included two activities: The first for boys was held at the Megapolis Entertainment Center in the Pearl with the participation of 56 children, and included entertainment games and various activities, along with meals and drinks. The second, for girls, was held at the Al-Aqrabun Center in Mesaimeer with the participation of 100 girls, and included workshops, competitions, games, and the distribution of gifts in a joyful, festive atmosphere.
