The funeral of 18-year-old Zowie Tomlinson will be held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, August 11, at the Parham Pentecostal Church.
Tomlinson died following an incident at Devil’s Bridge during the late-night hours of June 20. Her death prompted an extensive search involving police and the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard.
Difficult conditions forced the search to be suspended overnight, but the operation resumed the following morning. Coast Guard personnel later recovered her body from the water and brought it ashore.
Born on June 4, 2008, Tomlinson had celebrated her 18th birthday just over two weeks before her death.
Family members, friends and residents of the Parham community are expected to attend this afternoon’s service to pay their final respects and support her grieving family.
