Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Shaye’a Al-Zindani is following with great interest the assassination of Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channel correspondent, journalist Muhammad Aydah, following the explosion of an explosive device that targeted his car in the city of Mukalla in Hadramaut Governorate.
The Prime Minister made a phone call with the Minister of the Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, and the concerned authorities, to learn about the circumstances of the incident and the measures taken by the competent security services. He directed the Ministry of the Interior and the relevant security agencies to provide all aspects of support and support for the ongoing investigation efforts, and to harness the necessary capabilities to uncover the perpetrators and those involved in this criminal act and bring them to justice to receive their deterrent punishment, stressing that targeting journalists and media professionals represents an assault on the values of society and the freedom of media work. And the rule of law, stressing at the same time the government’s keenness to provide a safe environment that enables journalists to carry out their professional mission, considering that the crime is a terrorist act and the hand of justice must reach its perpetrators quickly, expressing his sincere condolences and sympathies to the family of the deceased and his colleagues in the media community, asking God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy and dwell him in His vast Paradise, and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
