San Pedro Sula.
Honduras is preparing for a Friday of intense heat this April 10, under a mostly clear sky that will raise temperatures in almost the entire national territory.
According to the Cenaos report, dry conditions and a warm environment will be the norm during the day, although the entry of humidity from the Caribbean Sea is expected to slightly alter the panorama towards the afternoon, causing some weak and isolated rains in specific sectors of the north and east of the country.
The critical point of this day will be felt in the southern zone, where the thermometer will reach 40°C, consolidating itself as the hottest region.
In contrast, the center of the country and the capital will experience maximums of 34°C and 30°C respectively, while the west will experience the coolest weather of the day, with temperatures that could drop to 14°C during the early morning hours. For their part, the northern and eastern areas will maintain stable values around 31°C and 32°C.
On the coasts, the outlook is encouraging for navigation and fishing, since both coastlines report relative stability. The forecaster on duty, Mario Centeno, explained that both in the Caribbean and in the Gulf of Fonseca the waves will remain at moderate levels, with heights that will range between one and three feet.
This maritime calm accompanies the flow of humidity that, although it will bring light precipitation at the end of the day, will not significantly alter the dominance of the sun in the rest of the Honduran geography.
