A private business in the city of Peshkopia has become the object of a serious threat, as the owner of the subject has been asked for an amount of 50 million lek, with the warning that otherwise the business would be blown up.
According to preliminary information, a pizza box was sent to the owner, inside which was a demand for the payment of the amount of money, along with some materials suspected to be an explosive-like device.
After finding the package, the area at the exit of the city of Peshkopia was surrounded by police forces, while for about three hours the perimeter was kept under control to guarantee the safety of the citizens.
With the arrival of demining and explosives neutralization specialists from Tirana, other security measures have been taken, while it is learned that the entities around the fuel area have also been closed.
In the meantime, vehicle traffic has been diverted and continued via the Peshkopia ring road.
As part of the investigations, some people have been accompanied by the Police, while work is being done to fully clarify the circumstances and identify the perpetrators of the threat.
The official confirmation of the State Police is awaited for the details of the event and the nature of the materials found.
