A Vincentian man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison after being convicted of raping a teenage girl in Baylis Park, Slough, England.
Travis Moore, 37, of Great West Road, Hounslow, was sentenced to 12 years and nine months’ imprisonment after a jury found him guilty of rape following a five-day trial at Reading Crown Court. He was sentenced on July 6, 2026.
The offence, described by investigators as a serious sexual crime, stemmed from an attack in Baylis Park, and was followed by an extensive police investigation that resulted in Moore’s conviction.
Police commended the teenage victim for the courage, dignity and resilience she demonstrated throughout the investigation and court proceedings, noting that her cooperation was instrumental in bringing the offender to justice.
Detective Constable Laura Bevan, said the victim’s bravery ensured that a dangerous offender has been removed from the community, reducing the risk to other women and girls.
Thames Valley Police reiterated that tackling violence against women and girls remains a policing priority and pledged to continue supporting victims while pursuing those responsible for sexual offences.(UK News)
