Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Station No. 2 have criminally prosecuted businessman Nadir Çausholli, 48 years old, for the criminal offenses “Intimidation” and “Self-judgment”.
The police say that this citizen, today, on “Ibrahim Rugova” street, during a conflict over the installation of a charging device for electric vehicles on the sidewalk, allegedly threatened with words the co-owner of “Sky Tower”, Mirton Lika, 53 years old, as well as kicked a chair in his direction.
Also, the police say that on the other hand, Çausholli reported that he was verbally threatened by Mirton Lika.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
What happened?
Businessman Mirton Lika has filed a criminal complaint against businessman Nadir Çausholli, after a conflict that happened on July 6, 2026 on “Ibrahim Rugova” street near the “Sky Tower” building in Tirana.
According to the report filed at the Police Station no. 2, Lika stated that while he was going to his office, he noticed several people installing a charging device for electric vehicles near the building. He claims that he asked the employees for information regarding the documentation and the permission to install the device, since, according to him, the case was related to an open proceeding at the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana.
The report states that a similar device, placed earlier in the same area, was seized by the competent authorities as illegal. According to Lika, the employees did not present the relevant documentation and then the police were notified at the scene.
A patrol of the State Police first arrived in the area, which carried out preliminary verifications and then notified the Municipal Police, as the matter was related to the interruption of works and administrative documentation.
The businessman claims that while he was waiting for the arrival of the Municipal Police, Nadir Çausholli approached him in a threatening manner and then the situation degraded into a verbal conflict. According to the report, Çausholli kicked a chair in the direction of Lika, who claims that he managed to avoid the blow. The complaint also states that there were insults and insults against him.
Lika has asked the law enforcement bodies to take measures and fully investigate the incident, stating that he feels threatened personally, as well as for his family and the activity of the “Sky Hotel” and “Sky Tower” businesses.
Mirton Lika is co-owner of “Sky Tower” in Tirana and Consul of Sri Lanka in Albania.
Meanwhile, the name of Nadir Chausholli has been mentioned earlier in another investigative case. A few months ago, the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana established security measures for some employees of the company “CFO Pharma”, suspected of involvement in a fraud scheme with the reimbursement of drugs.
According to the investigations, the financial damage to the state was initially estimated at around 700 thousand euros, while then the Mandatory Health Care Insurance Fund stated that the suspected value of the damage could exceed 2.3 million euros.
