The Vice President of Finance of the Panama CanalVíctor Vial, will leave his position on July 29ending a seven-year management during which he led the financial strategy of the interoceanic highway.
Vial’s departure was announced this Monday by the canal administration, which highlighted the results achieved under its financial direction, including the strengthening of the institution’s liquidity, the reduction of debt levels and the obtaining of record financial results that have directly contributed to the contributions that the Canal makes to the Panamanian State.
During his tenure in office, Vial was at the forefront of the organization’s financial strategy in the midst of a complex international scenario marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, disruptions in global supply chains, geopolitical conflicts and changes in global maritime trade patterns..
