

He Vente Venezuela Human Rights Committeeled by María Corina Machado, denounced this Tuesday persecution against leader Nahir Mota and other activists during the start of a political tour.
Through a statement, the party indicated that on April 9 “unknown subjects manipulated” the truck in which the team was traveling, putting their lives at risk.
That same night, he added, a commission from the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (Sebin) went to the hotel, intimidated the owners and demanded information about the party members.
Furthermore, they reported that the Persecution continued with checkpoints and revisions for locate and arrest the leaderwith the aim of hinder their political activities.
On April 10, according to the complaint, part of the team was detained for more than two hours by the National Police before being released.
The committee stated that these facts show that in Venezuela “Fundamental political and civil rights continue to be violated”like the freedom of expression, assembly and political participation.
Vente Venezuela asked the international community to “observe, document and speak out” against what he described as a pattern of intimidation and political harassment.
