The political organization Sell Venezuela (VV), led by Maria Corina Machadorequires the National Assembly (AN) to declare the absolute absence of the head of state so that presidential elections can be called in the following 30 days, in accordance with articles 233 and 234 of the Constitution.
In a statement released this Friday, April 10, VV stressed that holding free elections in Venezuela as soon as possible is a demand of the citizens and that pressure and insistence must be made so that the country “does not remain in a dictatorship” and victim of a repressive system with the “consent and complicity” of the Court’s magistrates. Supreme Court (TSJ), which to date evade commenting on the substance of Nicolás Maduro’s absence.
VV clarifies that Maduro occupied the presidency of the Republic illegitimately after committing “electoral fraud” after the votes of July 28, 2024, until his removal in the early morning of January 3by United States military forces. He recalled that the former ruler remained in power by dint of repression and the arrest of citizens who protested against the results announced by the Electoral Power, many of whom remain detained.

Likewise, she recalled that, consequently, the status of executive vice president of Delcy Rodriguez She was also “self-appointed” and, despite this, the TSJ declared her interim president. Neither before nor after, VV stressed, the interim recognized by the US, has been elected by the Venezuelan people to hold any office, so the TSJ must apply what is established in the Magna Carta and discard the interpretation of “forced absence” to evade elections.
Hair: Which one is missing?
During the broadcast of his weekly program on VTV, the Minister of the Interior and Justice, Diosdado Hairironized the topic by wondering how the opposition can talk about Maduro’s temporary or absolute absence if he was not recognized as president of the Republic. He reprimanded his adversaries for only respecting the institutions at their convenience.
Machado asked the diaspora Venezuelan in massive concentrations in Chile (Santiago) and the US (Houston) prepare for the next elections, with the promise that they will vote, unlike July 28.

VV reopened its national headquarters on March 28 in Caracas and ordered commanders throughout the country to reactivate themselves in view of possible elections, still undated.
