According to sources of the publication, 38-year-old Lomachenko wants to take taking on a serious challenge against an undefeated fighter from the Philippines.
The Ukrainian boxer considers the fight with Suarez ideal for his comeback. In case of victory, Lomachenko will hope to get a chance for a match with champion in the first featherweight Emanuel Navarrete (40-2-1, 33 KOs).
Navarrete, who is still promoted by Top Rank, recently said in his first public comments about the possibility that former three-weight champion Lomachenko is targeting him that he is keeping his options open as he looks to the next step in his career.
WBO/IBF featherweight champion Navarrete said: “If he comes for me, (I’ll) focus on him.”

“He’s done more than enough already, hasn’t he? He’s done many impressive and very good things.” Navarrete said.
