“Faced with this new institutional stage, we reiterate the willingness of the United Nations System to accompany the efforts of the Executive, led by Keiko Fujimori, to promote national priorities of development, human rights and peace,” the statement says.

In the same statement, the United Nations welcomed the beginning of a new political stage in the country and highlighted the development of the recent electoral process.
“We congratulate the new authorities and the people of Peru for their civic participation during the electoral days,” they stated..
Likewise, the international organization recognized the work of the institutions and citizens who participated in the democratic process.
“We recognize the commitment of the citizens, the electoral authorities and all the people who contributed to their peaceful development”the statement indicated.
