After people praised him from inside and outside the country

The noble humanitarian gesture made by my uncle Saleh, who is retired, nearly seventy years old, and lives a simple life with his small family in Constantine, continues to make an event, not only in Algeria but in the entire world, when he found a bag containing a significant amount of gold with a financial value exceeding 700 million. He searched for the owner of the bag and returned it to her, and when she tried to reward him with the amount of money he requested, he abstained and said to her literally: “The reward that I will receive from my Lord is sufficient for me.”
What is new is that good people have raised the bar high, and some of them donated Umrah to my uncle Saleh, and another went to the headquarters of the Constantine district inquiring about the possibility of allocating a Hajj passport to my uncle Saleh, so that he could cover the expenses of performing the Hajj rituals, while a number of merchants in downtown Constantine and the new city, Ali Mendjili, tried to collect a respectable sum of money and offer it as a gift to my uncle Saleh, who continued to evade these initiatives, which were suggested to him, including even the car and housing, and was even fleeing from everyone. He wants to meet him, including Al-Shorouk Daily, to which he apologized for interviewing him. He said that what matters to him is mentioning the incident without mentioning the perpetrator, so that it will be an example that can be imitated.
As for the incident, it was narrated to us by Mr. Saif Al-Din Boubekira, known by the nickname “Nano,” who is the mediator between the lady and my uncle Saleh. He is one of the influential people who specializes in searching for the lost things of citizens, including documents, money, and jewelry. At the end of the first week of this October, he received a call via “Messenger” from a young woman who told him that her father had found a bag full of gold and jewelry, near the Serta Hotel on the Bardo neighborhood road, in the center of Constantine, and it was clear. It belonged to a woman who was heading or returning from Farah, because the type of jewelry used in Constantinople weddings is “Mahzam and its sisters made of precious metal.” Only a few hours passed until he received another call, from a woman who seemed to be in a state of shock and almost desperate to find what she had lost. Without giving her any good news, he called my cousin Saleh and her father as well, telling him that he was at hand to deliver what he had found to its owner. Only, the woman had to present it accurately. What’s in the little bag?
The grief-stricken woman met my uncle Saleh, the benevolent man, with the mediator, Saif Al-Din Nano, and the woman carefully mentioned each piece of her jewelry that had accompanied her at weddings and ceremonies, for more than thirty years, so she received, in an atmosphere of joy, her bag, and tears were shed over what happened, while my uncle Saleh contented himself with saying: “May God keep evil away from you, my lady,” and he completely rejected the financial offer that the happy lady proposed to him, for her jewelry to be returned to her, and he was satisfied with the reward. Which he will receive from the Creator, the Sustainer.
And because Mr. Saif Al-Din’s page is followed by half a million people interested in charitable deeds, especially since he presented a video of the tripartite meeting and a complete overview, with pictures and audio, of the jewelry that returned to its owner, the story traveled to the countries of the world, and was praised by everyone, including those who began to see Algeria as a country with many virtues and chivalry, and those who remembered that Constantine is the birthplace of two great, first-class Islamic figures, the scholar Abdelhamid Ben Badis and the thinker Malek Bennabi.
