A delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in the Conference of Heads of Customs Services of the European Region, which was held on April 16-17 at the headquarters of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels.
Conference participants focused on priority areas of regional cooperation and improving coordination mechanisms.
Current WCO initiatives in the region were also discussed, and an overview of the activities of relevant bodies and regional networks was presented.
Turkmenistan’s participation in the conference confirms the country’s commitment to strengthening international customs cooperation, sharing best practices, and developing the national customs system in accordance with modern international standards, according to the website of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
