WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Friday told reporters his administration was talking to representatives from Tehran, adding “we are doing very well with Iran.”
Tehran has stepped up diplomatic efforts amid suggestions earlier this week from Trump that the US could resume full-scale strikes on Iran.
On Thursday, Trump had told reporters the US may have to “destroy” the rest of Iran, adding that people will “know soon enough” if he acts.
