PARAMARIBO — Between August 24 and 30, 632 vehicles were checked during traffic checks in the Flora, Munder, Geyersvlijt and Centrum districts. Thirty drivers were fined.
The traffic checks within the Paramaribo region are part of the national Increased Safety Holiday Plan 2026. They were mainly focused on road safety, including checking lighting and vehicle documents such as insurance and inspection.
