Signal Hill Government Primary School is celebrating after it was revealed that the top student in Tobago in the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) attended the school.
The Division of Education released the top ten male and female SEA students on Friday, with three Signal Hill students featuring among the girls.
The SEA results were released online on Thursday night, allowing students to log in and view their placements for secondary school.
In a change from previous practice, the Division did not name the top student, instead confirming that the highest performer attended Signal Hill Government Primary School. Based on the top ten listing, it could be D’Mica Dumas, Teijha Wellington or Zerriah Boyce.
In an interview with Guardian Media, D’Mica Dumas said she felt elated after learning she had secured a place at Bishop’s High School. She credited her teacher, Miss Gopaul, and her parents for preparing her for the examination.
