It is still not known where thousands of premium mobile phones ended up iPhonefor which Slovenský is facing football union of attempted execution worth almost 17 million euros. One of the versions that is under investigation talks about illegal export to of Russiawhere iPhones cannot be imported from the EU due to sanctions.
The case broke out before the February election of the new SFZ president, in which the previous head of the union, Ján Kováčik, succeeded again. The minister of tourism also used it against him sport Rudolph Huliak.
Kováčik directly signed the business documents between SFZ and the company Best Press, which supplied him with technology. His signature is also on the guaranty agreement, according to which the union has guaranteed its property to the main supplier – the company Asbis SK. SFZ, however, refuses to order and take over 17,000 iPhones for roughly 17 million euros. He claims that he does not know what they would be for him.

According to SME, the union’s lawyers have filed a petition with the Ministry of Economy to investigate suspicions that mobile phones were exported to embargoed Russia. The Ministry confirmed this to the editors, saying that it has moved the initiative to the Department of Finance, which is competent to act in the matter.
Subsequently, the legal representative of SFZ Michal Tomaschek also confirmed the information. “Following on from that, a meeting was also held at the Ministry of Finance, which informed us that the matter will be resolved in cooperation with law enforcement authorities and probably also with the intelligence services,” he said.
