Added to this incident was another that occurred recently, when unknown persons circumvented the perimeter of the facilities and They stole a speaker and other valuables.
The workers maintain that the facilities of the Metropolitan Health Region have become an “easy target for crime” due to the unsafe conditions.
The complex covers approximately an entire block and is made up of several buildings; However, there are no security personnel during the day. no guards in the accesses.
At night only one guard remains, whose presence is insufficient to protect the extension of the land.
“We can’t stand the robberies anymore and this has been happening for years. We’ve even lost count of the number of times they’ve broken into theft.”said one of the affected employees, who requested anonymity for security reasons.
Faced with this situation, the workers made an urgent call to the competent authorities and the National Police to perform permanent security operations in the area and reinforce surveillance, in order to prevent new criminal acts.
