The Tandem program has started his eleventh edition with the participation of 63 students and 8 teacherswho will work for three months on challenges posed by companies and entities in the country. The initiative is driven by Andorra Business, the Professional Training Center of Aixovall and the Ministry of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities.
In this edition, the challenges are raised by the FC Andorra, the Refesa Group and Carnet Jove Andorra. Students will have to look for new strategies to increase public attendance at the stadium, study how to transform waste into resources of added value and rethink services aimed at young people beyond traditional discounts.
The program connects the students of Professional Training with the business fabric and allows the knowledge acquired in the classroom to be applied in projects linked to real needs. The teams will have the support of teachers and mentors of the participating organizations throughout the process.
The director of Andorra Business, Judit Hidalgohas emphasized that “the Tandem involves young people in innovation processes and it shows that they can provide useful solutions and a different look at the challenges of companies.” For his part, the director of the Professional Training Center of Aixovall, Gregori Gutiérrez, has remarked that some ideas emerged in previous editions “have ended up being implemented” and that there are companies that have offered training stays to students to develop them.
The semifinal of the program will be held on December 17 and the final will take place the following day, in front of a jury made up of representatives from the institutional, educational and business fields. In the ten previous editions, the Tandem has mobilized 673 students, 115 teachers and 30 companies.
