Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, received in his office today, Sunday, Jordanian climber Ahmed Bani Hani, in support of his distinguished sporting career and his ambition to achieve an achievement represented by climbing the 14 highest mountain peaks in the world, to be the first Jordanian and Arab to achieve this global achievement.
According to a statement by the Council, the judge, during the meeting, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Khamis Attiya, Representative Dr. Hussein Al-Amoush, Representative Muayyad Al-Alawna, and Representative Dr. Ahmed Alimat, praised Bani Hani’s achievements, stressing that his sporting successes reflect a bright picture of Jordanian youth and their ability to achieve achievements and reach the world level with will, determination and persistence.
He stressed the importance of supporting those with national talent and achievements, expressing his wishes to climber Bani Hani, success in his upcoming trips and achieving more successes that raise Jordan’s name high in international forums.
For his part, Bani Hani reviewed his mountaineering career, noting that he has so far been able to ascend 3 of the highest and most difficult peaks in the world, namely the “Lhotse” peak, with a height of 8,516 meters, and the “Makalu” peak, with a height of 8,486 metres, as the first Arab to reach it, in addition to the “Manaslu” peak, with a height of 8,163 metres, becoming the first Jordanian to succeed in climbing 3 of the 14 peaks that are considered the highest and most difficult. Globally.
He indicated that he is preparing to take on a new challenge, which is to climb the 8,080-meter-high Mount Gasherboom in Pakistan, hoping to be the first Jordanian and Arab to summit this summit as well, stressing that his goal goes beyond personal athletic achievement to inspire Jordanian youth and prove that dreams can be achieved, no matter how difficult they may seem.
