According to the online economy report, quoted by Fars, American sources announced the cancellation of the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding with Iran in Geneva on Thursday morning. “The official signing (memorandum) that was supposed to take place in Geneva was canceled after it was signed (by Trump in) Versailles,” Fox News reported, quoting a White House official.
This source, whose name was not disclosed, explained: “The president of Iran also signed this memorandum and this agreement has come into force.”
It was an hour ago that American officials told the “Axius” website that Trump personally signed a copy of the Iranian memorandum in the Palace of Versailles and a picture of it was sent to the Iranians and the mediating countries.
Before that, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran confirmed that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the presidents of the two countries.
