European Parliament and Moldova
European Parliament accepted resolution on violation of EU airspace by Russian drones and called for increased support for Moldova and Ukraine. The document notes that cooperation with Chisinau and Kiev “is of key importance” to counter such threats.
Power lines Straseni–Gutinas
The United States will finance the construction of the Straseni-Gutinas Liberty Line power transmission line, which will strengthen the connection between Moldova’s energy system and the Romanian and European ones. The US government allocated $130 million (approximately 2.31 billion lei) for this. Feasibility study of the project the day before presented Prime Minister Alexander Muntean.

Banking and finance
National Bank of Moldova (NBM) raised the base rate from 6.5% to 7% per annum, and also increased loan rates. The NBM explained the decision by increasing inflationary pressure.

Searches and detentions in Comrate
The National Anti-Corruption Center (NCC) conducted searches at Comrat State University and detained two deans in a corruption case. The rector is also a suspect in the case. According to the NAC, they helped students pass exams for money and sold theses.
MoldATSA: Vangeli, Recean
Dumitru Vangeli, temporary head of the state enterprise MoldATSA suspended from his position after a journalistic investigation into possibly inaccurate information in his resume. In particular, Vangeli could have provided false information about working as a pilot for Air Canada.
PAS MP Dinu Plingau statedthat the removal of Vangeli is not enough – he must return to the state the salaries and “space bonuses” paid to him.

Meanwhile, ex-Prime Minister Dorin Recean joined the administrative council of the state enterprise MoldATSA (responsible for the use of airspace and air traffic services). In the government at the same time notedthat he will work on the administrative council for free.
Katlabuga on farmers’ protests
“Farmers have the right to protest, and their dissatisfaction is “entirely understandable” stated Minister of Agriculture Lyudmila Katlabuga. In addition, she urged not to use farmers for political purposes and assured that she “will always be open to dialogue.”
Gagauzia and the Venice Commission
MPs from PSRM and PCRM contacted to the Venice Commission (VC) due to the crisis in Gagauzia. The deputies told the VC that an “institutional deadlock situation” had developed in the autonomy and expressed hope that the commission would “help clarify the ongoing processes.”
Nemerenko about VAT on medicines
Former Minister of Health Alla Nemerenko criticized The authorities plan to increase VAT on medicines from 8% to 20%. In her opinion, this will lead to higher prices, and some drugs may “disappear from the market.” Nemerenko said that this does not exist anywhere, and that in the EU, the VAT rate on medicines, on the contrary, is being reduced.

Technical University of Moldova (UTM) confirmedthat 328 foreign workers from Asia live in the dormitories of the former Agrarian University. The university explained that they were renting out places in empty dormitories, as students “preferred other accommodation options.”
Two marches in Chisinau
