Those led by Thomas Christiansen continue to prepare for what will be the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Panamanian cast added a new day of training at the facilities of the Nottawasaga Resort, a complex located in the town of Alliston, within the municipality of New Tecumseth, in Ontario.
The training this Thursday, June 11, had the peculiarity of being open to Panamanian fans and the New Tecumseth community.this as part of the FIFA agenda. The sports entity designates an open training session for the 48 qualified teams to bring fans closer to the footballers.
It started around 4:30 pm (local time) and lasted for approximately two hours. During training, fans had the opportunity to share with those players who led Panama to its second World Cup in its history.
Regarding the sporting part, 26 players took to the field. Carlos Harvey and Jiovany Ramos carried out the differentiated work. While Adalberto Carrasquilla and Luis Mejía continue their recovery work with the aim of reaching the debut match this June 17 against Ghana. These last two did not take to the field of play.
Remember that Christiansen has mentioned on several occasions that he will wait for Carrasquilla until the last hour to find out if he can count on him or not for the World Cup event. On the positive side, Aníbal Godoy returned to training with the entire group, after being absent in Panama’s last three friendly matches.
The team will return to training at the Nottawasaga Resort this Friday, June 12 at around 8:30 am (local time).
