The Salto Intendanceled by the nationalist Carlos Albisupresented this Thursday a criminal complaint against a former leader of the municipal administration during the government of the Broad Front Andrés Lima.
According to the administration in a statement, the complaint was filed against Nelly Rodriguezwho He held the Housing Directorate of the mayor’s office.
The suspicion is that Rodríguez diversion of construction materials that were delivered by the Ministry of Housing to the mayor to give them to families who They were not enrolled in the benefit programs.
Administrative investigations were carried out on this topic that culminated in at least two summary officials.
“By order of Rodríguez Lists and details of families that should be beneficiaries of the program promoted by the aforementioned Secretary of State were unknown. (by the Ministry of Housing), in coordination with the Municipality of Salto,” the statement says.
This way, Families that were not beneficiaries of the program received materials.
“In some cases those authorized only received a part of what was planned and the rest was allocated to other places,” the mayor’s letter states.
In addition, there were cases – according to the mayor’s office – in which people received materials “by direct orders of the former leader“, “without verifying that they were within the group of beneficiaries.”
For the Albisu administration, Rodríguez made a “capricious and discretionary management” of the programs and it was found that the deviations “worsened” during the departmental election campaign period.
