The agreement must take advantage of the new opportunities for business in connection with the opening of the new airport in Qaqortoq.
Municipality of Kujalleq, Innovation South Greenland and GE South Region have entered into a 3-party cooperation agreement with a view to strengthening cooperation in South Greenland based on the development in the business world and new opportunities.
Kommune Kujalleq writes this in a press release.
In connection with the opening of the new airport in Qaqortoq, development in business life in South Greenland is expected. The plan is for the parties to meet regularly and collaborate on exploiting the new opportunities.
The agreement is based on development through cooperation in fishing, trapping, agriculture and food production, raw material extraction, tourism, transport and education.
– I am very happy that we three parties have entered into this agreement, and I see it as a new starting point for further development in South Greenland.
– When it comes to development, we will not point fingers at each other, but instead stand together for strong cooperation. That is why I have great confidence that the agreement will yield good results, says Mayor Malene Vahl Rasmussen.
The agreement was signed by the mayor, the director of ISG, Miki Jensen, and the chairman of GE South Region Aqqaluk Abelsen on Tuesday 21 April in the city council hall in Qaqortoq.
