In general, there are no programs aimed at meeting the specific needs of people with disabilities in Dörgics, wrote the Veszprém county settlement in its equal opportunities programat the bottom of which is the name of the mayor, Sándor Pflanzner. After admitting that there are basically no such programs, they wrote in a questionable style to say the least that
“from time to time, the so-called “Maunika salt” is held at the board meeting of the Municipality, which, true to Jerry Springer’s traditions, satisfies the needs of a small segment of the population related to conspiracy theories for those who like trash reality.”
In the relevant part of the equal opportunities program, “Maunika só” is certainly a reference to the popular Hungarian talk show of the 2000s, the Monika to the show refers to. And the “Jerry Springer traditions” refer to the British-American TV personality Jerry Springer, who died in 2023, who The Jerry Springer Show hosted the talk show for 27 seasons.
Once again: in order to meet the special needs of the disabled people of Dörgice, the municipality’s board meetings are recommended in the equal opportunities program of the settlement. We sent questions to the mayor of Dörgics, Sándor Pflanzner, about why this part was included in the program.
