The mother of a ten-year-old child goes report the son’s judo teacher to the police last Thursday for slapping him at the end of the class in front of the rest of the classmates, seeing that he had done a judo to another boy. The mother, however, he explained to the newspaper that he was “just defending himself”, after receiving a ball hit by a child, and he does not understand how “someone who beats children can work with children”. It seems, but what it is the first time the instructor has reacted in this way and, in fact, as the mother emphasized, he had never had any previous incidents or complaints. Thursday afternoon, however, was different from the rest of the days, since the teacher was more nervous and upset than usual because of the attitude of some students.
The woman decided take legal action against the adult after nine in the evening and after the child explained the facts when he got home and saw the redness and the mark on his face that had been left by the assault. In the complaint, in addition, the mother included a WhatsApp message in which the teacher admitted to slapping his son after the parents called to try to find out what had happened.

After going to the police, the mother he went to the hospital to have the child examined, but it was almost useless because the trace of the assault was no longer there and therefore they couldn’t make him an injury report to serve as proof. But beyond the blow suffered, what did not cause great physical harm to the child, the mother’s main concern is the psychological sequelae that they could have stayed with him, as he told him shortly after the events: “My son he’s traumatized: yesterday he didn’t want to go to school and now he’s afraid to walk down the street where the sports center is.” Monday, in fact, is planned meet with the specialized care service for children and adolescents so that from the unit they determine the psychological damage and provide you with professional assistance.

Far from being satisfied with filing a complaint with the authorities, the woman went one step further and reported the incident to the Government and the Andorran Judo Federationwaiting for them to take action. The minor, for now, will not return to judo classes, but the mother regrets that she has to stop doing extracurricular activities because of an event that is not the son’s fault and wants them to throw out the person responsible.
