President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the construction of a modern IT park to be built in New Namangan town of Davlatabad district. The project, worth $117 million, is expected to develop the field of information technology and artificial intelligence, increase export potential, and create high-paying jobs for thousands of young people.

At the ceremony, the head of state noted that rapid development of digitization and artificial intelligence technologies is one of the priorities of reforms in New Uzbekistan. For this purpose, special programs and decisions have been adopted in the country, and systematic work has been carried out to support the industry is increasing.,
As mentioned, IT parks will be built in six regions of the republic as part of the $117 million project implemented in cooperation with Chinese partners. The complex to be built in the city of New Namangan is the first project of this initiative.
According to the project, a 17-story modern building will be built on an area of 1.7 hectares. The complex with an area of about 18,000 square meters will house educational and export centers, co-working and office spaces, a startup accelerator, and service infrastructure for foreign companies.
Dozens of companies and start-up studios operate in the IT park as a single information technology ecosystem. As a result, about 2,000 young people in the region will be provided with high-income jobs.
After the project is launched, it will be possible to increase the volume of information technology services in Namangan region to 500 billion soums per year, and the export index to 30 million dollars.
At the end of the ceremony, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the foundation stone for the construction of the New Namangan IT Park. The ceremony of launching new investment projects and construction works was held here.
