The departures from the LDK continue due to the Special Court

Vlora Mjekiqi-Kabashi, assemblywoman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) in the Municipal Assembly of Obiliq, has announced that she has resigned irrevocably from all the duties and functions she held in this party.
Mjekiqi-Kabashi has announced that she will continue her mandate as an independent assemblywoman in the Municipal Assembly of Obiliqi.
Through a post on Facebook, she emphasized that, in addition to her position as an assemblywoman, she was also the chairwoman of the LDK Women’s Forum in Obiliq and a delegate to the party’s Electoral Assembly.
She said that her decision is related to the attitude towards the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and the disagreement with the attitude that, according to her, the LDK has taken.
“Aware that the KLA War was a war for freedom, supported by the USA and NATO, and convinced that freedom is more than any party affiliation. Since the LDK did not support this basic principle that freedom is above every party, I irrevocably resign from all the duties and functions I have in the LDK”, she wrote.
Mjekiqi-Kabashi has declared that from now on she will act as an independent assemblywoman.
