After the former President Ilir Meta and the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, the former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has also requested that the court session at the GJKKO in his charge for the Buka file be broadcast live.
The request was articulated by his lawyer Henrik Ligori in the next session of the “Buka sha” file, while the former deputy prime minister is on the run.
“The session should be broadcasted live. The public should see the process“, the lawyer declared.
Ahmetaj is being tried in absentia on the charge of abuse of office, while the Special Court has previously accepted the request of the lawyers that he can testify by audio or video conference.
Ahmetaj is accused by SPAK of abusing his office by favoring the privatization by businessman Lirim Fezollari of the “Buka sha” company on “5 Maji” street in the “Madrasa” area.
He is accused of having caused economic damage to the Albanian state in the amount of 7 billion ALL.
