Béla Radics, a Fideszes party colleague, joined the party on Facebook regarding the fact that the candidate who was defeated as an individual is now sitting in the parliament from a list. Ádám Borbély, who is also from Fidesz, wrote that he would rather not ask for the renewal of the party so that Radics, who achieved the worst individual result among the party’s candidates in the election, will sit on the parliamentary bench.
The post with an unusually critical tone was born after Béla Radics on Tuesday in the post he advocated the unity of Fidesz and facing the mistakes. “We are renewing our organization, the process is already underway – and where we have made a mistake, we will face it honestly, and then we will weed out everything that could weaken us to the last fiber,” wrote the Budapest representative.
Not long after, Fidesz municipal representative Ádám Borbály of Zugló wrote: “If renewal means that those responsible are untouchable and even send the candidate with the worst local result of all time to the Parliament, then I am not asking for this ‘renewal’. For Béla Radics’ post today, just this: Good weeding!”
Until now, Béla Radics was a representative in the Capital Assembly, and he is also the vice-president of Fidesz in Erzsébetváros. In the April election, he ran as an individual in Zugló, where he lost by nearly 30 percentage points to the Tisza candidate, György László Velkey. After the defeat, Fidesz decided to renew its parliamentary faction, so that Béla Radics can get a list mandate in the parliament. About him and the newly elected representatives of Fidesz we wrote in detail in this article.
