According to the online economy report, citing Tasnim, currently the average air quality in Tehran with an index of 94 is in an acceptable condition and is on the verge of an unhealthy condition for sensitive groups of the society.
Since the beginning of this year, Tehran has been in an acceptable state for 80 days, 12 days in a clean state, and 2 days in an unhealthy state for sensitive groups of society, which has increased the number of acceptable days by 13 days compared to the same period last year.
It should be mentioned that the air quality index (AQI) is divided into 6 main categories. Based on this division, from zero to 50 air is “clean”, from 51 to 100 is “acceptable or average”, from 101 to 150 is “unhealthy for sensitive groups”, from 151 to 200 is “unhealthy”, from 201 to 300 is “very unhealthy” and from 301 to 500 is “dangerous” air quality conditions.
