The host of the most important reconstruction conference, called the “Ukraine Recovery Conference”, is Donald Tusk, the Polish head of government from Gdansk. The Pole presents Gdansk, which rose again from the ashes of the Second World War, as a successful example for Ukraine. The Ukrainian head of government and co-host Julia Swyrydenko thanks the help provided to Ukraine by Poland and all other states present.
In Gdansk, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the disbursement of the first tranche of the EU stabilization loan worth 3.2 billion euros, which took place this week. In total, Ukraine will receive 90 billion euros, of which 60 billion euros are earmarked for defense, the remaining funds will be used for government business. “In the next few days” six billion euros are to be paid out for the production of drones.
