The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), has committed US$100,000 in financial assistance to support relief efforts in Venezuela following a pair of earthquakes that struck the South American nation on June 24, 2026.
Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday announced the contribution while speaking in the House of Assembly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, saying the assistance forms part of a coordinated regional response through the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). “The government of St Vincent and the Grenadines has committed to providing financial support in the amount of US$100,000 as part of the CARICOM effort,” the Prime Minister said.
“We will continue to be supportive bilaterally and as part of the coordinated CARICOM effort,” he added.
