Félix Antonio Rincón León, owner manager of Bucaramanga foams, recounted the difficult moment his company experienced after the fire which consumed a large part of its facilities in the early hours of this Friday, June 12.
With 35 years of experience in the sectorthe company faced one of the most serious emergencies in its history.

“The neighbors called us and, while the firefighters arrived, we went with some workers. The fire engines ran out of water and with our fire extinguishers we managed to put out the fire so that the entire company was not consumed,” explained Rincón.
—What were the losses?
The balance is devastating: about 70% of the plant was left on the floorthe production of three days was consumed, plus of 170 blocks made and orders for newly arrived chemicals.
“Six machines, fabrics, linings and structures were burned. We estimate losses close to the two billion pesos”explained the businessman.

Despite the situation, Rincón maintains hope: “These guys have a moral advantage, the suppliers give us morale, and so do our colleagues. We hope rise again from the ashes like the Phoenix bird and make Bucaramanga Foams “is once again positioned as one of the best companies in eastern Colombia.”

The manager highlighted the solidarity of his workers: “Son 22 families that were at the door telling me ‘boss, don’t finish, We’re going to move forward.’ That strength motivates us to continue with the shirt on. 24/7 to raise the company again.”
