KINGSTON, Jamaica – Rudolph Speid and Miguel Coley are expected to be reappointed to their respective positions by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) sometime next week.
Speid was appointed interim head coach of the Reggae Boyz from December 15, 2025, to March 31, 2026, following the resignation of Steve McClaren, while Coley was named as his assistant.
And even though they failed to lead Jamaica to the 2026 FIFA World Cup after losing 1-0 to DR Congo in the Intercontinental Play-off Final in Mexico last month, they have been publicly supported by JFF president Michael Ricketts.
According to a report by The Gleaner, both men are set to resume their roles following a meeting of the JFF’s technical committee scheduled for April 19.
When contacted, Ricketts remained tight-lipped on the matter.
“I can’t answer that because that is a board decision and the board meets on the 19th of April. The technical committee will make recommendations, and the board will ratify it on the 19th of April,” he said.
Last week, Ricketts revealed that the JFF would not be seeking the services of foreign coaches for the head coaching jobs.
During an interview with Jamaica Observer, Ricketts said he hoped Speid and Coley would continue in their respective roles.
