In the last few hours, social media users disclosed images and videos of a curious phenomenon registered in different departments of the Uruguay.
The phenomenon was observed in localities of Salto, Rocha, Colonia, Cerro Largo, Durazno and Montevideoamong other areas.
In the records you see a luminous object that crosses the sky with a plummeting path. Furthermore, in other images you can see an intense light that illuminates the Uruguayan night.

According to reports, the object would correspond to garbage or space junk. That is, any piece or debris left by a human being in space and that remains in orbit around the Earth.
“This concept includes the remains of space missions, rocket parts and virtually any component that is not part of the sent payload“said the director of the Space Data Association, Erika Rossetto, some time ago, in a National Geographic publication.
In addition to this, he explained, remains of equipment that arrived at the “limit” of its useful life in space.
Sometimes this space debris can be seen during sunrise or sunset, although from the surface it is already night.
Another situation in which space debris is visible occurs when the object loses height and begins its re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.
