A court has rejected a claim by a special needs assistant (SNA) that she fell and broke her wrist because she had been directed by a teacher to wear plastic bin liners over her shoes while crossing a mucky patch in the school grounds.
Judge Simon McAleese, throwing out her personal injuries claim against Holywell Educate Together National School, Swords, Co Dublin, told Martina Reilly that she had been the author of her own misfortune.
