Not so long ago we knew about only one type of pizza. That is, two, the one from the pizzeria and the home one. Then almost suddenly the real one happened pizza boomso now we have a choice between Napoletana, Roma, American, Grandma’s… And sometimes we really want good old homemade pizza.
Given that we choose the filling ourselves, so we can be calm about the quality of the ingredients, the question remains how to get a nice, thin and soft dough. Sometimes it happens that we manage to achieve a thin dough, but it is not soft. Although crispness is desirable for many, it is not always what we want. It’s even worse when everything ends up with hard dough that is hard to chew, which is especially noticeable when the pizza cools down. Well, here is a recipe that will save you!
It has one special additive for softness, which is honey. Honey usually softens the dough, and with the other ingredients in this recipe, a pliable dough is guaranteed. In addition, unlike many pizza recipes, you don’t need special skills here, and baking is easy.
Pizza dough
Ingredients
500 g flour type 400
330 ml of water
1 bag of dry yeast
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation
Mix all dry ingredients and add water. Knead the smooth dough that separates from the bowl, then add the oil and mix everything again to combine. When the dough has risen by a little less than double, roll it out on a floured surface into a pizza as desired. You can shape smaller round pizzas or one the size of a baking tray. Transfer the dough to the tray, prick with a fork and fill as desired. Bake for about 10 minutes at 250 ºC.
