The evening will see ideal conditions for spotting the Lyrid meteor shower over Finland.
On Wednesday night, there’s a good chance of spotting shooting stars, according to the amateur Ursa astronomical association.
The shooting stars belong to the Lyrids meteor shower, which is visible in the night sky this week.
An annual event, the Lyrid meteor shower is active during the second half of April. Wednesday night, however, offers the best chance to spot them. It will be easiest to catch a glimpse after 11pm, according to Ursa.
The further south you are in Finland, the more meteors you’re likely to see.
At best, stargazers in southern parts of the country may be able to catch a few shooting stars per hour.
