Greenland Handball Association – Timersoqatigiiffiit Assammik Arsartartut Kattuffiat, looking forward to throwing the ball up when the Senior Greenland Championships 2026 take place in Sisimiut from March 31 to April 5. The tournament brings together the country’s strongest men’s and women’s teams, who fight for the titles in six days of intense handball in Sisimiut Timersortarfik.
This year’s tournament also has a special anniversary on the programme. The host club SAK is celebrating 75 years as one of Greenland’s most central handball clubs, and GM 2026 will also be a festive celebration of the club’s long history and local commitment.
The men’s team consists of Norsaq HC, NÛK, SAK, GSS and Nagdlúnguaq, while the women’s team consists of GSS, SAK, NÛK, Nagdlúnguaq and K-33. The opening matches will be played from 2pm to 8.30pm over four days, before the finals on April 5 decide the championship titles.
After the senior championships, the handball festival continues in Ilulissat, where the U15 Greenland championships take place from 13 to 17 April, which makes April a real handball festival for Greenlandic handball.
