During the afternoon session, the president of the Senate Board of Directors, Laura Itzel Castillo, made the constitutional declaration after it was approved by 20 state congresses.
The senator for Morena explained that with this reform promoted by the president Claudia Sheinbaum The excesses of public servants are put to an end, the policy of austerity and humanism is strengthened.

The congresses that endorsed the reform to article 27 of the constitution were:

- Gentleman
- Michoacán de Ocampo
- Nayarit
- Oaxaca
- Puebla
- Quintana Roo
- Sinaloa, Sonora
- Tabasco
- Tlaxcala
- Veracruz of Ignacio de la Llave
- Yucatan
- Zacatecas
- Mexico City.
The reform establishes that no public servant person from public organizations such as CFE, Pemex and Nafin, among others, must have a retirement or pension greater than half of the remuneration established for the person holding the Federal Executive in the corresponding budget, which translates into approximately 67 thousand pesos.
