Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the “Strong Armenia” political force, answered the next three questions.

– A few days ago you had a meeting with our compatriots from Armavir and Ararat. Share your impressions of what worries them the most.

– The meeting took place in a very warm and interesting atmosphere. People were most interested in giving up Pashinyan’s power a day ago. People are very dissatisfied that this government has not done anything to improve the life of the people of the Ararat valley, the peasants, I am sure, the people of the whole of Armenia, at least to some extent during the eight years.

It was very surprising to me that only 10% of the land in the Ararat valley is cultivated. People do not know how to sell agricultural products. Everyone liked the idea of ​​stocking stations very much, that they would have the opportunity to calculate their profits at the very beginning of the year.

– Recently, one of the Turkish periodicals wrote that the Armenian-Turkish border will be opened on June 4 this year. Your position on Armenian-Turkish relations.

– In the pre-election phase, everyone, both Turkey and Azerbaijan, will give pre-election gifts to Pashinyan, because Pashinyan’s chances of being elected depend on it. We understand that.

We will have normal relations with Turkey, but based on the interests of Armenia.

We will not consider opening a border a problem of life. If our country, our agriculture suffers from it, we will introduce restrictions. We will build all relations with all countries based only on the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people.

But the most joyful gift is Aliyev’s gift to our people. We already know that Pashinyan is going to Azerbaijan.

– Recently, Nikol Pashinyan proudly announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan participated in a European event for the first time, even though Aliyev participated remotely. And he announced in his speech that the issue of terminating all kinds of relations with the Council of Europe is being discussed. In addition, in his speech, Aliyev considered the leaders of Artsakh to be war criminals and the people of Artsakh to be separatists. However, Nikol Pashinyan did not give any reaction. How would you interpret this apparent contradiction?

– I don’t see any contradiction there. This is the way of life of our authorities in recent years. When their leader makes announcements from there, they just have to listen with their heads down. They have no right to speak. That is the setting.

In his speech, Aliyev showed that the presence of European leaders in Armenia is of absolutely no importance to him. Anyway, he is planning to transfer 300 thousand people to Armenia. Pashinyan also showed the Europeans how many “Cool Chefs” he has.
