A serious accident cut the life of journalist Enrik Mehmeti, one of the most well-known names in reporting in the region of Vlora, in half. The tragic news has shocked family members, colleagues and the media community, where Mehmeti had been engaged in covering the chronicle and the most important developments of the region for years.
Media sources confirm that the fatal accident was recorded this Saturday evening, in the area of Porto Nova, in Zvërnec. According to preliminary data, the journalist was driving a four-wheeled motorcycle when it is suspected that, due to the loss of control during a maneuver, he left the trajectory and rolled several times.
During the accident, a metal part of the vehicle hit him hard in the chest, causing fatal injuries. Despite the efforts of the white shirts to give him first aid, the 40-year-old did not survive his injuries.
Enrik Mehmeti was a News24 journalist for many years and professionally covered the event in Vlora district. He was known for the dedication, seriousness and correctness with which he practiced his profession, a profession he loved since his youth.
This sudden loss has left in pain many family members, friends and colleagues that Mehmeti had won throughout his life. But a greater pain and an empty place has been left in the heart of his wife and two children.
