When information spread at the end of March that the financial the Proxenta group does not have the money to repay its bondsINDEX was contacted by some of its clients. They complained about minimal communication between the company and its brokers, who did not pick up the phone or answer e-mails.
Proxenta confirmed to INDEX that it is asking investors to postpone the payment of bonds due this year. She clarified that it concerns approximately two hundred clients, with whom she wants to resolve the situation in the form of “individual agreements”.
Most recently, Proxenta sent a statement to clients, which is signed by its boss Pavlo Kožík (INDEX has it available). “We take the situation seriously. We do not want to make light of it, nor do we want to comment emotionally,” it reads.
Kožík claims in the opinion that Proxenta stands on real assets and projects and explains that in an effort to stabilize and strengthen liquidity, they are actively working on “monetizing selected projects”.
He wants to get rid of acquisitions
In the opinion, Kožík mentions three specific real estate projects that Proxenta currently owns or is developing.
The first is the Šancová project, which, according to him, is “in an active sales process”, while a zoning decision has been issued and the sale should be implemented in the second quarter of this year.
The Šancová project, which is to bring 64 apartments to the street of the same name in the wider center of Bratislava, she bought Proxenta from the nearly bankrupt financial group Arca Capital.
The second property in Kožík’s opinion is the Košice project, which is supposed to be “in the final phase of sales negotiations with expected implementation in the second quarter of 2026.”
