On Tuesday, Her Highness Princess Basma bint Talal inaugurated the Knowledge Station, which was modernized with the support of the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in the Kingdom, in Mabarrat Umm Al Hussein.
The modernization operations, which were based on Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group’s experience in this field as part of the group’s “National Knowledge Centers” initiative, included expansion work and the provision of modern digital devices; To support Al-Mabarrah’s efforts in implementing training programs and digital courses for its students and members of the local community, which contributes to developing their digital skills, and providing a new learning space that enriches the educational process in Al-Mabarrah.
Her Highness the Princess praised the station, which constitutes a qualitative addition to Umm Al Hussein Street. Because of the modern educational environment it provides for Al Mabarrah students, and supports innovation, continuous learning and skills development.
Her Highness, in the presence of the Deputy Head of the Administrative Board of Al-Mabarrah, and the Executive Director of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), Farah Al-Daghistani, said that this initiative reflects the importance of the partnership between national institutions, diplomatic missions and the private sector in supporting development and development plans, and embodying the humanitarian goals that everyone agrees on.
Her Highness stressed the importance of digital skills in the educational process, expressing appreciation for this initiative and all the efforts being made to make Mabarrat Umm Al Hussein a model of care, education and empowerment, including the role played by Jawd in this field.
In turn, the Chairman and Founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, confirmed that the opening of the Knowledge Station comes within the group’s vision to support digital transformation and expand education and training opportunities, pointing to the importance of empowering young people with modern educational tools.
He pointed to the role of knowledge stations launched by the group in various regions of the Kingdom, which are based on a vision that believes that knowledge is a right for everyone, indicating that technology is an essential tool for achieving sustainable development and empowering youth economically and socially.
Abu Ghazaleh stated that this project is part of the group’s initiatives aimed at disseminating knowledge and expanding learning opportunities, in line with the royal directives to support and build the capabilities of young people and empower them.
He praised the efforts of Mabarrah Umm Al Hussein in serving and caring for a group of children who need support and assistance and providing appropriate educational opportunities, stressing that the opening of this station represents a qualitative addition to the process of empowering orphans, enhancing their opportunities for learning, innovation and building a better future.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Amman, Chilane Mokoena, expressed her pride in the partnership between her country’s embassy and the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organization in completing this knowledge station, which will have a significant impact on the children of Al-Mabarra and their education, based on the shared belief in the importance of this type of humanitarian and volunteer initiatives.
She said that this initiative confirms the shared commitment to education as a basic right for all members of society, noting the importance of investing in youth and their energies, building their capabilities, and arming them with education and knowledge, leading to addressing many issues related to unemployment and social instability.
She said that the station will contribute to improving the quality of education in Al-Mabarra, developing students’ skills, and creating many opportunities for them.
Mabarrat Umm Al Hussein is a national institution, founded in 1958 by the late, God willing, Her Majesty Queen Mother Zain Al Sharaf, as a safe haven and home for orphaned children and children most at risk.
For decades, Al-Mabarra has provided shelter, care, and the necessary learning opportunities for generations of Jordanian youth, and has contributed to providing a prosperous future for them and their families.
