A GREIGGS MAN who struck another man about his body with a cutlass before forcing the weapon into his mouth, has been given a suspended prison sentence. The violent assault sparked by an accusation of stolen money, left the victim with a burst lip and a chipped tooth.
Lynron Prince, 39, appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Colin John, on August 6, 2026 where he was charged that on July 15, 2026 at Kingstown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Lassie Williams, 56, of Arnos Vale.
The facts as revealed in court are that Williams knows Prince very well. They are friends. On the date in question, at about 7:30 p.m.,Williams was at the old Chinatown building opposite His Majesty’s Prison visiting his friend, Mark Shallow.
While there, vector control workers were conducting fogging to eliminate mosquitos. Due to the heavy smoke,Williams had difficulty breathing and went to the back of the building to get fresh air.
