Officers from the Portsmouth Police Station joined members of God’s Family House of Worship for a fellowship service on Sunday, September 27, as part of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force’s (CDPF) Community Policing Initiative.
The CDPF said the gathering provided an opportunity for police officers and members of the church to worship together while strengthening relationships and fostering closer ties between the police and the community.
The initiative forms part of the Police Force’s broader community policing efforts, which focus on building trust, maintaining a visible presence and developing partnerships with communities.
The Police Force said such engagements are important to creating safer and stronger communities through cooperation between law enforcement and residents.
