Judges Michele Picard, Kai Ambos and Nina Jorgensen have been assigned to the Appellate Panel for the case related to the verdict against former KLA leaders.
This was announced by the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, for the Express Newspaper.
In their answer, it is stated that the aforementioned panel was appointed on September 22 by the president of the Special Court, Ekatarina Trendafilova.
On September 22, the President of the Specialized Chambers, Judge Ekaterina Trendafilova, appointed an Appellate Panel to decide on the request of the defense teams to extend the deadline for filing the notice of appeal, as well as on all submissions of any party related to a notice of appeal against the Trial Judgment in this case. The Panel consists of judges Michèle Picard, Kai Ambos and Nina Jørgensen. In her decision, the President took into consideration the criteria set forth in Rule 4 of the Regulation on the Appointment of Judges, including relevant experience and expertise, as well as the availability of judges at this time,” the answer states.
